Over 10 years ago, Ludlow 21 took over the management of the Ludlow Green Fair and in the succeeding years it has developed into a Green Festival. This has varied in length and date and has been firmly established during the Bank Holiday weekend at the end of August.
However, in 2017 we plan to hold the event earlier in the year – on July 9th – so make a note in your diary!
The annual Green Festival is now our flagship event. Held on the square in Ludlow town centre, it provides a showcase for all that is happening on the environmental sustainability agenda. It is a day of stalls, events, music and fun for all the family.
This year it will be held on Sunday August 28th so reserve the date and visit the website
http://greenfestival.co.uk for further information.
The Festival is now managed by a small committee with significant volunteer help from members of Ludlow 21.
To cover our costs we rely on sponsorship from local business, income from stall rents and some small grants.
Aims of the Green Festival – We aim to raise awareness of the massive environmental challenges facing mankind, and at the same time, demonstrate how we can enrich our lives by treading more lightly on the earth.
