The ride will leave town and take a quiet lane through Oakly Park to Bromfield. Onto Walton and back to Bromfield for a Bring Your Own picnic by the Food Centre before heading back to Ludlow. (Shorter route options available).

You can catch the train  that leaves Shrewsbury at 18:05 and calls at Church Stretton, Craven Arms and also at halts on the Heart of Wales line to Knucklas.
If travelling from Ludlow catch the 18:17 train to connect at Craven Arms.
At Knucklas the it’s only a 3 minute walk to the Castle Inn where up to 12 musicians and singers will play throughout the evening. Musicians and singers are welcome on board too.
Back in Shrewsbury for 22:00 or Ludlow at 22:30 hours.

Fairtrade Fortnight, 25^th February to 10^th March

Choosing Fairtrade products whenever we can is one simple way to ensure this happens. 1.2 million people already benefit but there’s still a long way to go. But as well as choosing Fairtrade products ourselves, we are being asked to challenge others like families and friends, our local MP, local shopkeepers and cafés and  the workplace to take Fairtrade further and be part of making a change for a fairer world.

Ludlow Fairtrade Town Group, is organising a number of activities to help further Fairtrade, including an afternoon in Ludlow Mascall Centre with a Fairtrade coffee producer from Costa Rica on Wednesday 27th February, 2.30-4.30pm and also a special Fair Trade stall in St Laurence’s Church for the whole of the Fortnight.

In addition, there’ll be the launch of Ludlow Fairtrade Town stickers which will be displayed in windows by the business outlets selling  and serving Fairtrade products. Ludlow Library is hosting a Fairtrade Display and there’ll be tastings and display of Fairtrade products in the Co-operative Food Store.

At Bishop Hooper School, Ashford Carbonel, a large Fairtrade sculpture will be constructed by the children out of Fairtrade packaging. This will join other sculptures on the Fairtrade Foundation website as an online petition sending a message to the Government in support of Fairtrade.
