ABOUT US
Six years ago, Ludlow 21 took over the management of the Ludlow Green Fair and in the succeeding
years it has developed into a Green Festival. This has varied in length and date but is now firmly
established during the Bank Holiday weekend at the end of August.
The Festival is now managed by a small, four-person committee, with significant volunteer
help from members of Ludlow 21.
To cover our costs we rely on sponsorship from local business, income from stall rents, some
small grants, and in 2009 a street collection.
AIMS OF THE GREEN FESTIVAL
We aim to raise awareness of the massive environmental challenges facing mankind,
and at the same time, demonstrate how we can enrich our lives by treading more lightly on the earth.
The Festival raises our profile in the Town and the area, adds to Ludlow's reputation as
a "Festival town" and significantly boosts the town centre's economy.

At the October 07 AGM it was proposed that L21 join the Green Drinks network which started in
London and has now gone international with over 275 locations hosting "Green Drinks" social gatherings.
Visit www.greendrinks.org to see for yourself
how it works. Simply it's a regular meeting place for "green" people to meet, have a drink and exchange
news and views and maybe cook up some new ideas!
Come and tell us about your ideas, learn what's happening locally, explore new projects and, most important,
enjoy a social evening with like-minded folk.
We meet at the Charlton Arms Ludford Bridge on the 21st of each month from
7.30 pm onwards. Come in and look for the 'green flag'
