OUR AIMS
The L21 Planning Group monitors local planning issues and developments that impact the environment and local sustainability.
OUR ACTIVITIES
Ludlow 21 has responded to the most recent consultation regarding Site Allocations and Management of Development (Issues and Options for LDF). Local reaction to these proposals has focused on the quantity of extra houses planned over the next 20 years. However we believe that the whole process is fundamentally flawed: it operates back to front, takes only nominal account of local community views and is loaded in favour of commercial developers.
Please read our response which can be viewed at the link below:
HOW YOU CAN HELP
We would like to hear from people who are interested in writing personal letters to the press and local Council in support of sustainable solutions; and who would comment on contentious local plans; highlighting issues that need more attention such as:
Sustainability in local planning and development in the light of climate change;
Sustainability of larger planning applications that are likely to impact the local community and environment;
Protection of the environment and rural surroundings of Ludlow in the light of future sustainability and quality of life of the community.
We would also like to hear from people with knowledge and experience of:
Sustainable building methods and ‘eco’ Architecture
Planning law
Town Planning
Local economy and demographics.
Sensitivity of our environment to local development pressures
