Volunteers Needed

Ludlow 21 always welcomes new members and volunteers

Ludlow 21 has a band of active supporters who make our events happen but there is always a need for more helpers to spread the load and to bring new ideas and activities to the group. Below are specific roles that we have identified but please do get in touch whatever your interest.
If you are able to help with any of these roles PLEASE get in touch either by email or phone 01584 875501.

GARDENING MENTORS If you would be interested in offering your skill as a gardening mentor to the Grow, Cook and Share project or can offer tools or seeds then please contact Valerie or Sarah
HELP US GET THE MESSAGE OUT - MEDIA and PUBLICITY volunteers.
We need an enthusiastic communicator to liaise with the press on a regular basis to promote Ludlow 21 activities. Also design posters and other publicity material and help with our presence on the web and other social media.
HELP US KEEP OUR FINGER ON THE PULSE - "LOBBYIST" Volunteers
We need members who can keep a watch on local planning and environmental issues and to respond to these on behalf of the group by writing and presenting persuasive arguments.
BRIDGE THE GENERATION GAP - Education Volunteers
Are you able to inspire the younger generation about somne - or all - of the issues that Ludlow21 campaigns for? We need volunteers to help continue our successful work with local schools.
HELP NEW GARDENERS GET STARTED Gardening Mentors
The new GROW COOK and SHARE project is looking for volunteers to pass on their gardening skills and experience to help paople produce their own food
PLANNERS with Event Management experience or interest
Help us design and run the Green Festival. Help us plan Fairtrade events. These are key events in the Ludlow21 calendar and we need more people to help the current organisers.
STEWARDS/HELPERS TO KEEP OUR EVENTS RUNNING
Volunteers to help on the day at the Green Festival and Fair in August, at Fairtrade events throughout the year and at the fortnightly Local Produce Market in Ludlow are always needed. Also the Tour de Ludlow cycle fun ride on June 16th 2010 needs a good team of stewards to be at crucial road junctions to ensure a safe ride for all.
