We have swapped the vans for a more sustainable form of transport. From now on, your favourite Ludlow Brewery beers could be arriving by cargo bike!
We were thrilled to take part in this fantastic delivery initiative being trialled in Ludlow. The cargo bike delivery scheme was launched by Islabikes and Ludlow 21 Sustainable Transport Group earlier this year to lower Ludlow’s carbon footprint.
The initial eight-month trial period is free to local businesses wanting to deliver small goods around town and therefore help reduce the trips made around the town by individual people in cars and vans.
Cargo bikes have been a Covid-19 success story, with towns and cities all over the UK adopting them for a wide variety of uses, including first responders, personal taxis and ‘last mile’ deliveries of goods – where goods are offloaded from much large vehicles to smaller ones for local deliveries.
